The song of Lewis and Clarke is a craft of beautiful and subtle intensity through the timeless sound of guitar, Rhodes piano, drums and voice. The sound strikes the human chord. Hailing from the rural anthracite region of northeast Pennsylvania where the fever of isolation burns from an underground blaze, Lewis and Clarke was formed as an extension of singer/songwriter Lou Rogai's solo work and features a cast of friends including Thomas Abrams on drums and Philip Price (An Albatross, Bedford) on keys. Lewis and Clarke will launch their 5th U.S. tour in April 2003 at Harrisburg, VA's MACRoCk festival in support of their 'Bright Light' CDEP release, sharing many dates with friend Kerry McDonald's (ex-Christie Front Drive) new band The Mighty Rime. This Fall Lewis and Clarke have plans to record a follow-up full-length entitled 'Bare Bones and Branches' at Kerry McDonald's home studio in Tennessee, followed by a four-week tour of Europe in support of the release.
