old gold's first venture into publishing should obviously feature the talented writer tim foljahn ($2dollar guitar frontman and former book reviewer for sonic death magazine). as with his previous cassette releases, tim tests the limits of his listeners' sonic capacities, weaving a conceptual approach throughout this sort of soundtrack that is more akin to eugene chadbourne's "jungle cookies" than the more intimate revelations we've come to expect from his prior output. but stay tuned to the end and you will be better for it. music should push your buttons, and this pushes buttons you may have never realized that you had. limited, getting lots of airplay and going fast. the book features 50 dreams that like the cd, you'll wish you had.
