"...one of the brightest hopes for British electronica we've seen in a long time." - NME 3Fold is a collection of three EPs previously released by Wichita Recordings in the UK in 2001 and 2002. This collection also contains previously unreleased goodies such as the 'Clip (Clopt)' track recorded for their Peel Session. Noel Murphy (audio florist) and Tom Hill (beat monger) are from London, but relocated to Nottingham to record together, and take advantage of the cheaper cost of living. The past year has had its moments. The lowest must have been the complete theft of their studio equipment from their basement. The higher points include the development of their live show from 2 guys cowering behind laptops to fucked-up stand up and shake it mc-ing via live bass experimentation. In a complex lo-fi electronica kinda way of course. The 'Fold have been seen out playing with Four Tet, Her Space Holiday, Hood, S.I. Futures, Manitoba and more recently with Minotaur Shock at the Sssssssh! Music for Museums / Notting Hill Arts Club collaboration which had them playing in the grand entrance hall of the V&A museum to great, ear-splitting effect. Wauvenfold have also recorded reworkings of Brothers In Sound and Ruby tracks, plus Super Furry Animals 'Shoot Doris Day' which features on the Furry's DVD version of their 'Rings Around The World' album.
