As heard on Soft Sounds For Gentle People: Mystic Males compilation CD! Bob Lind's "Elusive Butterfly" (oddly, not included here) was one of the most successful one-shots of the mid-'60s folk-rock boom, reaching the Top Five in early 1966. Other acts brought some of his other songs to a wider audience with their covers of Lind compositions like "Cheryl's Going Home" (Blues Project), "Counting" (Marianne Faithfull), and "Mr. Zero" (Yardbirds' lead singer Keith Relf). The beauty of Jack Nitzsche's intricate production on Lind's two 1966 LPs, favoring acoustic guitars and pretty melodies and string arrangements, is admirable. Sealed original pressing with hole-punch thru cover.
